In order to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or earn the School Based-Registered Play Therapist (SB-RPT) credentials conferred by the Association for Play Therapy (APT), you must complete supervised client hours utilizing play therapy.
Veronica Vyazovsky is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S) and provides play therapy supervision for licensed mental health professionals interested in obtaining the RPT or SB-RPT credential.
She helps counselors move from an initial (LPC) to clinical (LCPC) licensure or gain a specialized credential such as RPT or SB-RPT qualifications.
The Association for Play Therapy requires 35 hours of supervision with an RPT-S while completing the 500-hour practice requirement. Of the 35 hours, 20 can be individual supervision with a maximum of 15 hours in group sessions.
